I used these on my patio with a shower rod for outdoor curtains. We jay had a bad storm and they came through like a charm. No rust etc after sorting rains.Ended up using these too attach a canopy to the back porch, and even 65 to 75 mile per hour winds didn't disturb them! These were exactly as advertised.I used these to hang up and convert a floor standing heated towel rack to a wall mounted heated towel rack.First I verified the diameter of the towel rack vertical rod was a little under the measurements provided for the rod holder. It was very close - at even a 1/4 inch off the provided rod holder measurement, it wouldn't have fit.Fingers crossed, I ordered only one rod holder, this one. I was pleasantly surprised - the opening measurement provided was exactly correct!I removed the feet from the rack, placed and mounted the rod holder on the wall, and the rack slid right in! I secured it with a little CA glue, and good to go!Thank you Seimneire for keeping things in tolerances!I used these curtain rod holders (two sets) to hang outdoor privacy curtains in the screened-in lanai. I had two long spans to the work with, one 172" and the other 123". I mounted the upper bar with 3 holders on the shorter side and 4 on the longer side, top and bottom. The top holder were mounted hanging down and the bottom holders were mounted 84" below the tops and facing inwards from the screen frame. The rods are 1 1/8" diameter, so I lined each ring's inner diameter with 3/16" thick sticky foam insulation, 3/4" wide to prevent noise when the wind blows. I did replace the hardware that came with the sets, discarding the supplied anchors and using #10 x 3/4" stainless steel wood screws for the top mounts and #10 x 3/4" stainless steel self-drilling sheet metal screws for the bottoms. The end result is a very sturdy installation, perhaps a little over-built but I tend to do that. I know that, when the curtains are gathered, the whole thing should withstand just about any weather it is likely to face, even here in coastal NC. The rod holders are sturdy and well made and the finish matches the rod that I used perfectly.I bought these to hold 1 1/4 inch dowels I'm using for 3 windows. I only needed 6 but having 2 extra in waiting is a good thing. And 8 of these were cheaper than 6 from other vendors. I was hesitant because of the price but bought them thinking even if they don't look great they are curtain rod holders and who will care. The fit? Perfect! The dowels fit well and even if a little loose the holders have a screw to hold them tight. Quality? I'm sure I could find some more substantial for a lot more money. But why? They look great and do the job. If you have guests who pull out a ladder to check on your curtain hangers you have much bigger problems than this. Look? Brushed silver ... they look much more expensive than the are. Would (or will) I buy them again? Absolutely.Project : curtain rods in drywall. Firstly I wish to point out that these are rather randomly constructed. Holes in bases don’t necessarily line up with the next piece you pick up, sooo don’t use 1 to mark ALL your anchor holes !!Secondly, I expected to use the supplied sleeve type anchors and screws. Wrong-oh. The plastic is so hard the screws won’t thread into them, resulting in the anchors turning in the drywall. So now I can’t complete my project until I buy toggle or screw in type anchors AND the flat head screws to fit the recesses in the bases. Granted, it might have turned out OK if I had stud or masonry to set them in but even then, they would be too damn short to effectively secure the screws. Thirdly, in my application the brackets, rod AND CURTAINS need to be installed to the wall FULLY ASSEMBLED because I had no clearances to slide the rod in after the brackets were mounted. However, THIS complication is exclusive to me and my wall, but what a P.I.T.A!! Another haphazard Chinese product slapped together with ZERO THOUGHT TO ACTUALLY BEING USABLE. The product APPEARS to be the answer to your task-at-hand but upon application is actually a poorly thought out, self destructing problem product designed to cause complications or fail altogether. THIS is why curtain rod brackets load from the top, not the end. Let my misadventure save you some heartache. Buy cheap top loaders.I had never seen these before, probably because I never had a use for them. They worked great for what I needed them for. I needed to hang a privacy type curtain to divide a section of a room, and these were easy to install and are great quality.I purchased these to put up an outdoor weather screen. Wasn’t sure about the hole size but it worked out well! I originally purchased two packs of four each. However, the strength of these shower brackets are so strong that I only needed two. Already have plans to use the other’s in another area of my home! Love the mounting versatility! Se ven muy bonitos y funcionan muy bien.it worked very well ,thanks
